Arrival & practical instructions

Welcome to The Terwaan. From this section you will find the essential practical instructions for your visit. If anything remains unclear, our phone service will gladly help.

Rooms and keys
You can see the rooms you booked and their locations from the area map.
Your accommodation unit's doors are already open, and the keys are waiting for you on the kitchen table.

Arrival and parking
You can drive from the main entrance directly to the map area or to your accommodation unit to unload your luggage.
Parking takes place on the parking area on the left side of the Navet/event hall – as seen from the entrance.
We hope that vehicles are used in the area only when necessary.

Safety and functionality

Alarm systems
The Manor, Headquarters and Järvispa are equipped with Verisure's alarm system. The controller is located at the entrance connection. The connection is made with a key switch.

Outdoor lighting
The area's outdoor lights operate automatically. Lights mostly turn off at 01.

Temperature
The properties have a combined ground source and air source heat pump system. If you wish a temperature change, contact our phone service.

Electric car charging
A Type 2 charging station is located at the lower floor outlet of the Headquarters. Please book the charging time in advance.

Drinks

Drinks and refrigerators
All rooms' wine and beverage refrigerators are pre-stocked. We will bill the consumed drinks after the visit.

Espresso machine
In the Manor's kitchen there is a fully automatic espresso machine, which measures usage for billing purposes.

Missing drink?
If any drink you desire is missing, please contactä the phone service – we will find a solution togetherä.

Departure

Key return
When you leäave you can leavää the keys on the keittiön pöydälle, even if you lock the door.

Room-specific instructions

Manor
The manor has several historic fireplaces, but their flues have been welded shut eivätkä they are not käytössä. The manor pääkeittiö sekä the so‑called caretaker's residence kitchen are täysin fully equipped and freely available to you and your chef. The manor yhteydessä also has myös a smoking area and an outdoor fire pit.

Väentupa
The fireplace of Väentupa can be used, as long as you remember to open the damper before lighting it. The cottage kitchen is fully equipped and is freely available for you.

Scenic cottage (open 30.4.–15.10.)
Catering can be arranged for Scenic cottage upon request, and the venue is suitable for events of up to 25 people.

Lake Spa
When you arrive at the sauna, you can change into swimwear either in your accommodation unit and go to the bathing tub, or change clothes in the sauna – there is no separate changing area, but towels and any ordered drinks are waiting ready.
The electric sauna heating takes about 45 minutes. If the room is booked for your group, you can use the sauna according to your schedule. The wood‑heated sauna will be heated for you according to the agreed schedule.
The whirlpool is ready for use and the hot tub operates independently – upon separate request we will heat the hot tub ready.

If you have booked an overnight stay in the sauna building, the linen has been made up on the loft in advance.

Barn event hall and Karsina conference sauna
The Navetta and Karsina complex offers a 300-person event hall (no heating) and a 25-person winter-warm conference room, which includes an open-fire grilling area, sauna and a fully equipped industrial kitchen.
Karsina's sauna is suitable for about 15 people. Showers and changing room are located in a view-protected area of the conference room. The sauna offers towels and a beverage selection according to your order.
The room has five unisex toilets, one of which is accessible.
